The Ad Manager workshop is a special experience. Running an ad team and strategizing for the success of the paper is a tough job. This workshop focuses on providing ad managers with fresh ideas to meet their goals. What truly makes the workshop unique is the limit of around thirty-five attendees, all of them student ad managers at papers around the county. Therefore, there is plenty of opportunity to discuss issues directly with other students, and to hear exactly what’s working, or perhaps not working, at their papers. This was special for me, as I participated in discussions that helped me generate numerous ideas for training and improving the efficiency of my ad team, as well as dealing with difficult situations as a manager. And by attending the workshop, I have established several professional and student contacts that I will continue to reach out to for issues/questions I may have in the future.
